Analytical Center

Meet and exceed your standards. Our products offer consistent performance, aesthetic results and reliable quality. To ensure that your production runs smoothly and to maintain high quality standards, we constantly test and evaluate our products in our analytical laboratory. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for spectroscopy, thermal analysis, viscosity testing, and much more to conduct several analytical tests ensuring our products offer you reliable, reproducible, and repeatable quality every time.

Spectroscopy

  • UV/VIS/NIR Spectrometers: Measure optical properties from 200-3500nm, allowing for testing on light barriers, UV protection, thermal management, reheating, and detectability properties.
  • FTIR Spectrometers: Operate in the infrared region for identifying polymers and additives.
  • Portable NIR Device: Used to predict the detectability of the material in the recycling process by comparing the NIR spectra of applications with virgin and colored polymer.

Viscosity Testing

Our viscosity testing capabilities include Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) testers with an integrated solvent handling system for efficient IV measurement of PET-based products. Additionally, our melt flow rate (MFR) and melt volume flow rate (MVR) testers enable precise melt viscosity testing for the development and quality control of non-polyester polymers.

Thermal Analysis

Our technical experts work with thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) for evaluating thermal resistance, volatility, material identification, and content analysis, along with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) for assessing material identification, crystallinity, and oxidative stability.

Microscopy

We perform visual microscopy ranging from macro to micro scale, preparing the samples via microtome or embedding, grinding, and polishing. The visual microscopy allows for surface characterization, particle size characterization, and defect analysis, providing actionable insights to enhance product performance.

Visual Properties

Our visual properties analysis includes transmission, haze, and clarity measurements to evaluate the visual impact of our products on transparent applications, matting effects, and light diffusion. Additionally, gloss measurement is used to assess the performance of matted products.

Mechanical Properties

  • Coefficient of Friction (COF) Measurement: Ensures easy film handling and post-processing.
  • Dart Impact Testing: Assesses impact properties to ensure film durability and safe handling.
  • Charpy Impact Testing: Uses an instrumented fin for precise notched and un-notched impact energy measurement of engineering resins, including low-temperature conditions.
  • Tensile Testing: Evaluates tensile properties of engineering resins and compounds as well as the seal and peel behavior of films.

Application Tests Methods

  • Static discharge meter: To conduct antistatic performance measurement.
  • Bar-type laboratory sealing device: Allows for variation in temperature, pressure, and time to help define the best sealing conditions for development.
  • Pressure cooker: Enables hydrolysis testing for development and performance characterization.
  • Filter pressure tester: This is used for the development and quality control of high-dispersion quality products in melt-filtered applications.
  • Rheometer: For testing of low-shear melt viscosity.
