The Sukano Group: A Global Growth Story
From pioneering polyester masterbatch to becoming leaders in polyester and biodegradable polymers, we have grown organically from greenfield beginnings. Our journey has been marked by continuous expansion into new markets and polymers. Now, with our first strategic acquisition and nearly 200 employees and growing, we are evolving the Sukano Group further to continue providing excellent services and products to our customers, stakeholders and partners.
1988
Our success story began in 1988 with the development of the first highly concentrated Slip/Antiblock masterbatches for PET and PETG.
1992
By establishing the first production site in Switzerland, we started setting roots in Europe.
2003
A new manufacturing facility in South Carolina marked our expansion into the US market.
2005
In 2005, we launched our first biopolymer masterbatch portfolio – leading innovation in biobased materials.
2008
Opening our first manufacturing site in APAC, Malaysia significantly strengthened our presence in Asia.
2013
Continuously extending our product portfolio, we designed our fiber masterbatches range in 2013.
2019
The launch of #wearepartofthesolution platform enhanced our focus on rPET and organic recycling.
2022
With added focus on Building & Construction and Durable Goods, we expanded into two new sectors in the market.
2024
With the acquisition of KAYS Kft., we strengthened our knowledge of compounding technical plastics using recycled content.
